Napa Valley is known for it’s wide array of wineries, so it’s no surprise that a lot of proposals happen there! Click HERE for popular winery locations.

What time of year do you want to propose?
Time of year affects the weather and the vineyards.
The vines are dormant (essentially sticks in the ground) Jan- early March.
Depending on the winery, some will have a short mustard season in February.
April-June is when the green starts to fill in and gets thicker July-August.
September-early November is when colors change, crush (when grapes are picked) and then the vines thin out in December.
How important is privacy for your proposal?
Based on how much privacy is important to you, it’s best to contact the winery or other location to see if they offer private experiences. Most wineries will have at least a semi private option.
The day of the week you choose is also an important factor- most wineries are busiest on weekends, some host weddings, and some host their wine club members that day. If you are hoping for more privacy, and a more relaxed start to your vacation, doing your proposal mid week might
