Classy Engagement Session in San Francisco

I may live close to the city (about 1 hour from my house to the GGB), but I don’t actually go to San Francisco that often; the traffic and busy city vibe can feel overwhelming- but WOW! This Classy Engagement Session in San Francisco made me fall in LOVE with SF!

Going into this session, we brainstormed location ideas. Our goal was to hit 2-3 spots in 2.5 hours, knowing that that we would be adding travel time and outfit changes into that timeline. Thankfully, they both live in the city and Kevin is an expert city driver, so I knew I was in good hands.

Let’s chat about Penny’s outfit choices. She is SO dang smart, she rented dresses from Rent The Runway, and I instantly beamed when I saw her in the first outfit- the orange and pink was the perfect POP against the urban look of the pier. And Kevin was so handsome in his suit. Together, these two rocked this location! I had “warned” them that we might spend more time working around crowds of tourists than actually shooting- but would you believe that as we walked up, the pier was nearly deserted! I got ridiculously excited, and went to town on fun walking poses and twirls. I knew we didn’t have a ton of time at our first location, but wow did we make the most of it!

We then headed to Lovers Lane, and made an outfit change. I quickly realized that Penny looks gorgeous in everything, and that Kevin knows how to change FAST! We had fun playing around on the log, and Kevin worked hard to keep Penny warm in between takes.

Lastly, we headed toward one of the Batteries for an epic view of the Gold Gate Bridge. While it was getting chilly, something pretty amazing happened- we got to see the SUNSET! For those not familiar with SF climate, more often than not, it is VERY overcast and foggy near the Gold Gate Bridge, so seeing a sunset is a rare gift. I loved that these two were up for anything, and it makes me even more excited for their wedding this year!
