Summer Proposal at Cast Wines

So many people that visit Napa and Sonoma don’t realize the hidden gem that is Healdsburg and Geyserville! When people are staying closer to Sonoma County, I love sharing locations that are off the beaten path. This summer proposal at Cast Wines was just about all you could ask for for a special proposal memory!

Alex went back and forth quite a bit trying to narrow down a location. I can’t image trying to pick a place from afar that you have never been to to have the biggest moment of your life - so he took some time and with a few of my recommendations, decided on Cast. They have such a great setup for proposals- they have a huge deck above the tasting room with a killer view of the valley. It’s very calm and quiet up there (they often have chill music playing on the speakers, just adding to the ambiance). There is a room that faces the view, that is very convenient for me to hide in, so I have a clear view for when the moment is about to happen.

After the proposal was done, they did a celebratory sabering, and then we headed down the stairs for more photos in the vineyards.

If you are staying in Healdsburg area and are wanting a less modern feel, I would suggest Preston Winery! They are a working vineyard and farm, and it’s bit less “polished”, but relaxing and off the beaten path as well!
