Santa Rosa Senior Portraits | Santa Rosa High School

Senior season is upon us again! It never gets old for me, going out on a warm summer night, and catching the light just right...and what made this Santa Rosa senior portraits session even more special for me is that I have known Brittany since she was a baby! Her Mom and I met years ago, when all our girls were young. We used to spend weekends together, shopping, eating, taking the kids to the movies. She helped me when I was in phlebotomy school and had to do an externship overnight. I got to take care of her sweet puppy dog when they went on a family vacation, and we both saw each other through lots of family drama...and we even woke up at crazy hours to head out shopping on Black Friday together!Fast forward to today, and Brittany has gone from a cute little pixie with pigtails to this beautiful, sweet, and funny young woman who (gasp) is now headed into her senior year of high school! We had the best time! Something I find funny about previous shoots with her is that most of the photos have had a more serious tone to them (she nails the fierce look!), so I made sure to get a few of her gorgeous smile as well :)We got to the location and started to head to a familiar spot when I looked over to my left and saw THIS spot. The light was calling my name, and Britt was, as always, willing to check it out!See what I mean? Fierce and sweet...she nails them both! And isn't this dress from La Sophia amazing!?Then we headed to a new spot and we had some fun with this flag. It has special meaning for her as it was given to the family at her Papa Brent's funeral. He served in the Navy and she really wanted to have a part of that in her session, which I thought was so beautiful. (We spent a lot of time making sure to respect the rules, so it didn't touch the ground...not an easy task when the flag is twice the size as the senior!)I LOVE these! The light was perfect! Then we changed things up a bit. I love flowers...and the giggling that ensued after a few "posed" shots ;) A big thank you to Mary Robledo of  Flourish Floral DesignAnd last but not least...this romper! That smile! Yep...I was a happy girl :)I could have stayed out there all night...darn sun always has to go down eventually! Britt, its been an honor photographing you, and watching you grow up...love you girl!
