Proposal Location Options at Castello di Amorosa
If you have decided you want to propose at Castello di Amorosa, the next step is choosing which spot you want to use! Here are the most used locations-
North Tower
This is your way to have guaranteed privacy. You book this location through Castello di Amorosa directly. They handle the decor and set up!
Wine Cave
The cave is Castello’s back up plan if it rains or if it is too windy at the North Tower. All decor is moved to this spot, and you will be “rerouted” to this location. The Castello staff will let you know ahead of time if this change is made.
Vineyards in front of Castello
This spot is the most popular by far. There is no “proposal” fee, you would just pay the regular tasting fee for yourselves, and then buy a separate ticket for me to enter (so that way no one at the entrance mentions there being 3 people in the group).
Main Walkway Path
This spot is a great choice if it’s raining, and the dirt/soil is muddy. This is a part of the main walkway entrance from the parking lot.
Grand Staircase
A show-stopping spot for sure- the only issue is that since this is the main entrance to the winery, it can be hard to not have a bunch of people walking up and down…and Castello has asked that this spot not be blocked to people trying to get to their scheduled tasting. This proposal was taken early in the morning, just as the winery was opening.
Olive Grove
This is on the right side of the castle, the opposite side of the grand staircase. Another good option for the months where the vineyards are dormant. The only big issue with this spot is that the gift shop exit is right behind it, so it can be hard to not have people in the background, depending on your final choice where you kneel.
Deep in the Vineyards
This spot can be a little tough to get to, its “down the hill” by the main driveway, but I have had a few clients who wanted this spot because it was away from people.
Inside the Castello
In full transparency, I have never photographed a proposal here, just a few engagement sessions. This area is not private, we just got luckt that this spot was cleared out for a moment for this shot. But I offer it in case you like the look, and don’t mind a crowd!
