Proposal at St. Francis Winery | Santa Rosa, California

There were bees, it was nearly 100 degrees, and it was all worth it to capture this proposal at St. Francis Winery that was 9 years in the making!

Owen and Mae met in high school English class, where he finally got up the courage and asked her to Prom. The rest is history! When Owen reached out to me on Instagram, I was so excited to help him plan his proposal- 4 months of SIP due to COVID-19 made me miss my job and reminded me how much I LOVE photographing proposals!

The staff at St. Francis were so accommodating, helping us find a great spot and giving me a tour before the shoot. There was perfect bench surrounded by lavender that faced the vineyards and mountains that I was able to hang out in to wait for them. The one thing I didn’t account for was how hot the stone bench would be to sit on- now I know why the bench was available :)

The one thing different from any other proposal I have done is that this time I was wearing a mask, and so were Owen and Mae- but thankfully, they were able to be mask-less for this moment!

Being together for almost a decade, it was fun to listen to them chat, kid, and laugh together about where they started and where they are now- ENGAGED!
