Private Estate Wedding in Sonoma County | Windsor, California
Because my week wasn't exciting enough with a wedding in Mexico, I had to run home in time to photograph my dear friend Leah's private estate wedding in Sonoma County! Seriously though, I love Leah and her family, so it meant so much that she asked me to be her photographer! This wedding had so many fun elements close to my heart. They had their ceremony and reception at the home of a dear friend of mine, Toni! Toni and Mathais built their home from scratch, and had waited a LONG time to get permits to get started, so the property had been theirs for a while before construction was able to start. It was so fun to see all their hard work pay off! Mathais works for Waterworks Industries with my Uncle, so of course their pool had to look A-mazing (and it does!). It was a hot day so a ton of kids enjoyed it during the after party!I thanked Toni big time for the clean slate of white walls in their guest bedroom, which is where Leah got ready. And how cool is that industrial light fixture her dress is on? I'm telling you, this wedding was so sweet.Another wonderful element was getting to work alongside Cammie of Cambria Events! I have known Cammie for YEARS and have always loved her design work! She was wonderful, even fed me (I had gotten home at 1am and my brain wasn't 100%!)Leah and Greg and family worked so hard to make this wedding look so elegant with the modest budget they had. Her sister, Heidi, made the cake, and so many other friends pitched in to make everything seamless! My favorite detail, however, might have been Leah's dress! She said she went back and forth on being traditional with a long dress, but in the end decided a shorter cut was more her style. Guys, she NAILED it! And I love that she went with what worked for her! That and the head piece she wore, which was a gift from her fiance's Aunt- the PERFECT touch!Leah and Greg, so many congrats!! Thank you for having me, I wish you all the best!Hair & Makeup done at SIXX TWO EIGHT salon in Healdsburg!
