Proposal at Private Beach House in Bodega Bay

This proposal at a private beach house in Bodega Bay was such a unique experience!

When planning a proposal at the Coast, one of the biggest hinderances is usually privacy- Bodega Bay is a popular tourist destination, and so finding a private spot can be difficult. When Nick reached out to me with his plan, I was excited to hear that the AirBNB rental house had private beach access!

The plan worked so well, it was almost shocking! Nick planned to arrive, get situated, and then walk down to the beach…and then I got to be sneaky and enter the house, walk on to the back patio, and document the moment from above! He said his plan was to propose at 6pm, and I think the first “down on one knee” photo was time stamped at 6:01pm (not bad, my friend!)

The weather in Bodega can be so unpredictable, so we were all thankful for just enough light fog that the light was even, but we weren’t freezing. We a had a blast exploring the rocks and enjoying how it felt like time stood still.

I was so impressed by the lay out of the property- the back wall is lined with windows, so you can take it the sunset from the warmth of the house, or you can sit on the back patio and breathe in that fresh coastal air.
