Proposal at Domaine Carneros Winery | Napa, California

This proposal at Domaine Carneros Winery was a family affair! It's the first time I had ZERO communication with the guy until AFTER he had proposed! lol. Griffin had a LOT on his mind, and knew that adding communication and logistics would possibly ruin the surprise. So- his Mom found me (and said the moment she read I love the show Friends that I would be the perfect fit since its also Maddy's favorite show!) and we worked out all the details.

It was such a fun proposal with multiple surprises!

Griffin had already surprised her by having her parents come on the trip (the day before the proposal was her birthday!), and then he got to surprise her even more when after the proposal HIS family and HER BFF popped out! I think this might be the first proposal where her reaction to seeing everyone pop out was MY favorite moment! It was so dang fun to watch the whole family come out and hug and just be in the moment with them!

I am so thankful for the lull in tourists at that very moment; Domain Carneros has these amazing stairs, but is super popular and usually crowded- so when they ended up with the area to themselves, I couldn't have been happier for them! And then of course everyone above who was sitting doing their tastings cheered! It really was like they owned the place in that moment :)

Proposals give me such a high- the joy, the excitement (just talking about it give me goosebumps!) It's a feeling you just can't replicate and I am so so happy I was able to document it all!
