Proposal at Artesa Vineyards & Winery | Napa, California

So guys, let's be honest here - I try really hard to think of cool, funny things to say for each blog post to keep your interest. I'm extra wordy in general so I'm not sure how well it works! This post, however, might be THE easiest one I have ever written, because you just CAN'T make this stuff up! About 2 weeks ago, my husband and I were at the park with our son, and my phone buzzed with an email- from Austen Powers. I did what you might expect: I did a double take! Thinking this might be a scam or a joke being played on me, I hesitantly opened the email. It was a request to shoot a proposal at Artesa Vineyards and Winery in Napa Valley.

I filled Tim in on the situation with a grin, and he assured me that it was probably real since this Austen most likely pre-dated the movie. He was right. How cool is that? I've met the original Austen Powers! ;)

If you haven't been to Artesa, you need to check it out! They have an amazing view of the valley, with these incredible fountains! I can see why he wanted to do the proposal there! Tim came with me since we were headed to a wedding I was shooting in the city later in the day, so we just pretended to be winery guests!

It was so fun to watch Sarah's reaction! I have been told by a few people that I must love capturing the "ugly cry". Honestly, I just love capturing raw, genuine emotions! This proposal was definitely one of my most favorite!Almost immediately all the questioning began; apparently Austen did a great job keeping things under wraps!Such an honor to be a part of this moment- congrats, you two! You were both so fun to work with!
