Indoor Locations For Proposals in Napa Valley

If you are planning a proposal in Napa Valley between October and March, odds are you may be proposing when there is rain in the forecast. This isn’t the end of the world! Napa Valley is beautiful all year round, just for different reasons each season. But let’s make sure you are prepared with these indoor locations for proposals in Napa Valley.

1- Find a winery you love that has a wine cave.

Most wineries will have either a cave tour, or will pretend to have one, to get you to that spot. Some wineries might offer the option of decor like florals or battery operated candles, or will work with a florist to design a set up.

Because you will want the cave space dedicated to your proposal, you will likely need to contact the winery to book that space out. Here are a few options of wineries that have a cave or cellar that is available for this-

Castello di Amorosa

Beringer

2- Use a winery that has a really nice covered patio or rooms with good light.

Stony Hill

Stony Hill has beautiful rooms with incredible design and great natural light streaming in. It would be an easy fix to move a few peaces of furniture and add florals/decor to elevate the space.

3- Hotel room balcony/covered area

Depending on where you are staying, there might be either a front porch, a balcony, or a covered area that can be a good Plan B.

When all else fails - bring an umbrella and just embrace how the rain makes everything feel quiet, romantic, and snuggle up close!

Last bit of tips when dealing with rain-

Wear the right shoes for the occasion. Since there is a possibility it will be muddy, this is not the time for fancy heels. Convey the importance for a cute but hearty pair of close toes shoes/boots.

Be prepared for last minute changes that are beyond our control, and know that the team (me, winery vendors, etc.) want you to have the best experience possible, and that might mean making an executive decision last minute based on what works best in the moment. Trust us!
